Accomplishments

• Subhi’s unique storytelling put her on the prestigious Songwriters & Composers Wing of the Grammys (Recording Academy, Chicago Chapter).

• This year the Recording Academy started their first mentorship program. Subhi got selected for this distinguished program and is paired with the accomplished Grammy and Oscar winning artist Emily Bear as her mentor (Chicago Chapter).

• Subhi won Best Lyricist In Pop Category at the Clef Music Awards in June 2023 for her Hindi single Laapata.

• She is also one of TOP 24 on Nexa Music Season 2. She is a part of ‘Nexa Music Lab’, A.R. Rahman’s Mentorship Program. Subhi along with her peers and MR. Rahman graced the cover of Rolling Stone India Magazine March 2023.

• In May 2023, Subhi graced the cover of Youtube India’s Editorial Playlist ‘On The Rise: Indian Indie’ with her latest single Kahaniyaan.

• In January 2023, Subhi opened for Ali Sethi (Pasoori Fame) North American tour in Chicago at the legendary ‘House of Blues’.

• Subhi’s song ‘In My Way (remix)’ is featured in the Swiss Netflix Series ‘Neumatt’ season 2 which released this year.

• Her Hindi composition ‘Lovely’ is the title track of Netflix Series ‘Zindagi In Shorts’. The series is produced by prominent producer & director Anurag Kashyap and popular production house Sikhya Entertainment (India)

• Subhi is currently working on a Bollywood project for an OTT platform.

• Her Hindi composition 'Ho Gaiye Cool' was selected to be a part of Y-Films (YRF - India's leading production house) short series called 'Love Shots'.

• In 2022, Subhi graced the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds India Playlist with her single ‘Water Raft’.

• Her music has been featured on some major Spotify India Editorial playlists including ‘New Music Hindi’, ‘HIndies’, ‘Women of Indie India’, ‘Fresh Finds’, ‘Equal Indie India’, Latest Love Tunes, and ‘New Music Friday India’ to name a few.

• Subhi’s music has been featured on many Apple Editorial playlists including ‘Future Hits’, ‘A-List Pop’. ‘New In Pop’, ‘Hindi Pop Hits’ , ‘New Music Daily’ and ‘Breaking Indian Independent’.

• Her single 'Water Raft' upon release was selected as BBC #1 Radio track of the day.

• She composed music for TVF (The Viral Fever) starring India's biggest Bollywood superstars - Shahrukh Khan & Kajol

• Subhi has written many songs for films that have been featured in various International Film Festivals

• Hindi debut Pop Jazz Album ‘Shaitaan Dil’ was Co-Presented by The Jazz Institute of Chicago

• Subhi is a proud recipient of the 2019 & 2020 Individual Artist Program cultural grant awarded by the City of Chicago.

• ABC Chicago featured Subhi and showcased her musical journey on their Emmy award-winning show Asian Influences.

• Subhi put together the reference tracks for Mira Nair's Broadway show 'Monsoon Wedding' the musical in NYC.

• Her Hindi single ‘Chaand Ka Chilka’ won ‘Honorable Mention’ at the renowned International Songwriting Competition 2019.

• Subhi’s music is critically acclaimed through features in publications such as Rolling Stone India, American Songwriter, Score Magazine, Times of India, Vh1 India & Culture Collide.

• Her single ‘Better’ won Songwriter Universe ‘Best Song of the Month Contest’ last year. ‘Better’ also reached the semi-finals round in Unsigned Only Competition 2021.

• She is also collaborating with some of India’s leading Producers in the Independent music scene.
