Subhi is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter known for her raw, emotive vocals, poetic lyricism, and pop sensibility. Born in New Delhi and raised on a vibrant mix of Punjabi folk, Indian classical music, and Urdu poetry, her music reflects both lyrical sophistication and emotional depth, whether she's crafting an intimate ballad or an infectious anthem.

Her path to music was anything but linear. After working in New York’s corporate world, Subhi began traveling to Mumbai for creative work, gradually building a career rooted in storytelling and songcraft. Her evocative voice and songwriting earned her a spot in A.R. Rahman’s NEXA Top 24 program, a major milestone in her journey.

She’s opened for celebrated artists including the Grammy-winning band Shakti (featuring the late Maestro Zakir Hussain and Shankar Mahadevan), and South Asian pop star Ali Sethi during his U.S. tour, captivating audiences with performances that highlight her vocal finesse and emotional range.

Writing in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and English, Subhi creates cinematic, honest music that bridges cultures and genres. Her adaptability as a songwriter has led to collaborations with global names like DJ Khaled, Cardi B, Tyla, and Jacqueline Fernandez, as well as contributions to the 2025 Smurfs movie soundtrack—including the standout single “Higher Love.”

She is a core member of The Indian Connect, a genre-bending collective with Natania Lalwani, Zeek, and Aman Moroney, where South Asian roots meet bold, global production.

Now signed to DESI TRILL—UMG’s South Asian label co-founded by Ty Ty Smith and Shabz Naqvi—Subhi is helping shape a new sound for the diaspora: personal, powerful, and globally resonant. Her writing remains her superpower—smart, soulful, and always from the heart.
