Subhi is a singer, songwriter, composer based in Chicago.

She is currently working on her debut Hindi Jazz album in collaboration with renowned musicians from the Chicago Jazz music including Joaquin Garcia (Piano), Ivan Taylor (Double Bass), Gustavo Cortinas (Drums) & Rajiv Halim (Saxophone).

The collaboration series highlights her journey as an artist; the choices she made and the struggles she encountered. Subhi's compositions highlight her experiences with the people, cities and the cultures that she embraced as a young kid (initially) and as an artist (as an adult).  Anchoring it all together is Subhi’ earthy and organic voice. Her musical exuberance is matched only by her vivacious personality.

Subhi began her career working as a music assistant on Monsoon Wedding Broadway show in New York. She went on to work as a composer, songwriter, lyricist, and vocalist for acclaimed short and independent feature films in U.S., which have been well-received in the film festival circuit. Recently, she has worked on projects with leading Indian digital platforms, including The Viral Fever (TVF) and Y-Films (YRF).

In 2016, she performed at the 'Eye On India' festival in Chicago and her songs have been featured on NPR (WBEZ), WLUW 88.7 FM (Radio One Chicago), WGN TV & International show 'Music from around the World' on WHPK 88.5 FM.
